Kuala Lumpur Hosts Asian Amateur Open In November 2011!

8 October 2011, Kuala Lumpur - Latest News : The event is now confirmed—Malaysia will be hosting the ASIAN Amateur Open and Women Chess Championship in Kuala Lumpur starting with player’s arrival on Friday, 25th November 2011 until the last round on 30th November 2011.

The event is limited only to players who has a FIDE Rating of below 2100 points (for at least the last 2 years) or Unrated players only.

The 9 rounds event offers a total prize fund of USD 7.000 with USD 1,500 going to the eventual winner. For the Women and Unrated player, the winner will earn cash prize of USD 500 each.

The event will be held at Crowne Plaza Mutiara Kuala Lumpur and entry fees has been set at USD125 for rated players, and USD 150 for players without rating.
