InSoFar ELITE and PRESTIGE Final - 25th September 2011
The stage is now set for the Insofar 2nd Elite Final and the Prestige Junior Final to be held at DATCC on Sunday, 25th September 2011 starting at 9:00am. An impressive total prize fund of RM 9,000 has been set aside for both events with the winner bagging RM 2,000 for the Elite category and RM 500 for the Prestige Junior category.
Both events shall be played over 6 rounds using Swiss Manager pairing system with a time control of 25 minutes each per player per game. For these two events, only those who have played in the earlier qualifying rounds are eligible to play and wrestle for the lucrative prize fund rarely offered in our local weekend circuit.
To make things more interesting, the organizer for the event, Insofar Chess Academy has also organized two side events: 1st Open Scholarship Tournament starting at 11:00pm and later in the afternoon at 2:00pm, the 6th Junior Scholarship Tournament, all on the same day with similar time control - 25 minutes to finish. A galore of events to choose from...
Those who would like to see some of our top National Senior and Junior players playing, and aspiring new players showing their talent, are welcome to witness this event at DATCC during those hours.
