As usual, the BLITZ event is ON!!!! Mark this date and time on your calendar - Thursday, 25th August 2011 starting at 2:30pm in the CitiTel Hotel MidValley Ballroom on the 5th floor. Entry fees is RM30 for all players and a prize fund of RM1,500 has been aside for the top 16 players with the Champion earning a cool RM400 for his/her effort.

We are accepting entries from today onwards and closing date for registration is before 12:00noon on the event day itself. Registration received after the closing time (but before 2:00pm) will incur a penalty of RM15.

Players will be playing over 9 rounds using Swiss Pairing system with the Top 8 players to go into a knock out championship style match to crown the Champion.

First round to start at 2:30pm with the final to start around 6:00pm. After the conclusion of the event, the Prize Giving Ceremony for the 8th IGB Dato' Arthur Tan Malaysia Open, 2nd KLK Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng International Seniors Open Chess Championship and the 6th AmBank Malaysia Chess Challenge will take place.
