15th August is CLOSING DATE

Players and Teams who are interested to participate in the upcoming Malaysia Chess Festival Individual Rapid Event (26 August), ASTRO Team Rapid (27 and 28 August) and the SWENSEN Age Group Event (21 August) are advised to submit their entry forms by 15th August 2011 to avoid penalty charges for late entries.

Submissions received after the deadline will have to pay double the normal fees and acceptance of entry will be at the organizers discretion pending space availability.

For the Individual Rapid event, the entry fees are RM20 for players below the age of 16 and RM30 for all others. After the deadline, the entry fees will be RM40 and RM60 respectively.

For the ASTRO Merdeka Team Event, the entry fees for each team of 4 players is RM300 whilst a team of 5 players (with one reserve) will need to pay the entry fees of RM375. After the deadline, the entry fees shall be RM600 and RM750 respectively.

For Junior Teams playing in the ASTRO Merdeka Team Event - provided that all players in the team is below the age of 16, the entry fees shall be RM200 for a team of 4 players and RM250 for a team of 5 players (with one reserve). After the deadline, the fees shall be RM400 and RM500 respectively,

For the SWENSEN Age Group Event, the entry fees RM25 per player (regardless of the age) and after the deadline, the fees for each player is set at RM50.
