DATCC Renegade Rapid Weekend - Update!!!
So far, 18 players have confirmed their participation for the event and with more inquiries coming in over the weekend via phone, SMS and email. Some of the notable players playing are youngsters Sumant Subramaniam, Mark Siew Kit Tze and Mohd Izz Saifuddin who are currently on their post SPM break.
The organizer is targeting for 60 players to play in DATCC inaugural event for 2011 and the hope to promote the center for future events in the year. The first 2 weeks in January has already seen DATCC organizing 3 events - 17 Chess Club Open Rapid, Insofar Elite Junior and Insofar Open Event.
There is a break for next weekend as an earlier event which was penned has been canceled due to last minute changes
After the Renegade event, chess players can look forward to the Stonemaster Chess weekend on 5th February (right after Chinese New Year) with Insofar Chess Academy taking up the slots for the subsequent weekend and MCF to fill in the following weekend.
