Results as they come in - Round 9

Battles of the Malaysians.
In the final round on board 20, IM Mok Tze Meng lost to Ronnie Lim in 32 moves. Based on his performance, Ronnie should achieve his first IM norm for the excellent performance that he has shown in this event

On the other boards, NM Edward Lee won against Fong Yit San, Low Jun Juan drew against Azarya Jodi of Indonesia, Roslina Marmono won against Handjojo Limono of Indonesia, C Sasidharan Nair of India lost against Tan Jun Feng, and Nicholas Lau defeated Haslindah Ruslan.

The adopted Malaysian - Ian Udani
Ian Udani who is handling the white pieces against WGM Huang Qian in the last round, is also up for his first IM norm at this event.

On the other boards....
Former Women Champion Xu Yuhua drew with Pham Chuong on board 8, and 15 year old Vakhidov Jahongir drew against IM Roy Chowdhury Saptarshi. Most of the top boards are still playing....
