The Octopus did it again.....

The 2010 World Cup has ended and through the event, an unexpected star was born - in the form of an Octopus with Nostradamus foresight that can predict without fail, the winners of each match including predicting Spain to be the World Champion. Unperturbed by death threats that it has received from many German fans, and the eventual protection offered by the Spanish government to protect the octopus, the "Nostractupus" (combination of Nostradamus and Octopus) has made another prediction in view of the FIDE Presidential election to be held later this year in Kanthy-Mansiysk... most particularly, the General Secretary seat that is being contested by long time buddies from neighboring countries - the challenger in Abdul Hamid Majid of Malaysia and the incumbent Ignatius Leong of Singapore.

The "Nostractupus" have won the hearts of millions of people around the globe for its pinpoint accuracy of predicting Football winners (which Pele called "the beautiful game), and here we are, putting him to test by asking it to predict the winner for the FIDE General Secretary position (FYI, the late GM Eduard Gufeld also dubbed chess as "the beautiful game" so, the Nostractupus should know that it is still a "beautiful sport" be it chess or football), and based on the eight tentacles that the seer has, and unchallenged and uncanny foresight for predicting the "future", you can witness yourself the "Nostractupus" prediction - a picture that tells everything!

In any case, as a fellow Malaysian and long time buddy of Hamid (and with my own selfish reason that Hamid "MUST" win this election), in the event that Nostractupus prediction is wrong, I will be holding a buffet for everyone - "Sotong Tiga Rasa" will be the main entree for the day.... flown directly from Europe....
