DATCC League - Schedule, Results, Pairing and Ranking

We have past the halfway mark for the 3rd DATCC Chess League and the remaining schedule for the event is as follows:

Round 7 - 12th May 2010
Round 8 - 19th May 2010
Round 9 - 26th May 2010 (followed by Closing Ceremony)

Current Standing
After 6 rounds of play, the surprise leader for the DATCC League is EXCEL Chess Team who knocked top seeded team KAM MAH with 2 1/2 - 1 1/2 score. The result was marred with the forfeited score of board 1 and 2 by each team when Nicholas of KAM MAH won by walkover on board 1 and Zhou Ren of EXCEL won by the same mode on board 2. On board 3, EXCEL Kaushal did well to hold KAM MAH Amitpal for a draw and youngster Tan Ken Wei of EXCEL won his game against Nik Farouqi of KAM MAH

Think Big maintains its position in 2nd placing with the return of GM Ziaur on top board after being missing for 2 rounds to participate in the ASIAN Continental Championship in Philippines. During his absence, Think Big still did well and was able to maintain its position in the tournament

TEAM AU is currently 3rd in the standing after thrashing GUNG HO 4-0 whilst KAM MAH fell to 4th place after the surprising defeat.

PETRONAS SEA HORSE is at 5th place and in 6th place, the surprising veteran team of TAN & TAN emerged after a convincing 4-0 win against the ladies from CS SOLUTIONS
