DATCC League - Results for Round 8, Standings and Pairing for Round 9
Think Big continues its dominance in the league by thrashing Nusa Mahkota 4-0 in yesterday's Round 8 match. On Table 2, Team AU edged Sea Horse 2 1/2 - 1 1/2 whilst KAM MAH did well to secure a 3 1/2 - 1/2 win over 17 Chess Club on Table 3.
Next week will be the last round for the 3rd Edition of the DATCC KL Chess League and the organizer is hoping that everyone will be present for the closing. It will definitely be an exciting race to the finish with only 2 points separating the top 4 teams but whilst Think Big may lead in match points, their standing in the game points is lower compared to the 2nd and 3rd placed team hence, a draw alone will not be enough to secure the win for them. PAIRING FOR ROUND 9
Based on the Team Pairing for Round 9, Think Big should be able to breeze through their opponent Gung Ho and the Championship is theirs for the taking unless some strange and weird thing happen that prevents them otherwise. 4-0 for Think Big.
On Table 2, Team AU is playing against PricewaterhouseCoopers and this maybe one of the more interesting match up for the last round that may go either way. Whilst the bet is that Team AU will eventually win the match up, it will definitely be a very close fought match. 3-1 for Team AU
On Table 3, KAM MAH is paired against the Veteran of Tan & Tan and whilst KAM MAH is the stronger team, the veterans may pull some surprises but in the end, KAM MAH should prevail. 3 1/2 - 1/2 to KAM MAH
On Table 4, another interesting match up between the Juniors of Excel Chess Team and 17 Chess Club which may also go either way for the teams. It should be a very close match between the two team but 17 Chess Club may edge the Juniors by 2 1/2 - 1 1/2
