Yeap and Izz Co-Leaders In First Saturday Classical Chess 2009

At the end of the first day of plays in the First Saturday Classical Chess 2009 held at the Excel Chess Academy, Yeap Eng Chiam and Muhd Izz Saifudin are co-leaders after three rounds.

Abdullah Che Hassan and Muhd Syakir Shazmeer are trailing by half-point behind the leaders.

Twenty four players are participating in this classical chess tournament, the biggest group so far for the classical chess series conducted by Excel Chess Academy.

Catch the action tomorrow at the Excel Chess Academy, Overseas Union Garden, Kuala Lumpur where three more rounds will be played to decide the winner of the first of the series of First Saturday Classical Chess 2009.
