Team AU ,with an unexpected but deserving win by Soon Wai Cheong , won 2.5 -1.5 against 2nd placed Caviaga and hence streched their lead to 3points.Soon Wai Cheong outplayed Abdullah Che Hassan but team mates IM Mas Hafizul, FM Ooi Chern Ee and Tan Ken Wei all drew with Caviaga s Ian Udani , Edward Lee and Junior Master Champion Yeap Eng Chiam respectively
Nusa Mahkota meanwhile drew 2-2 against Eon Bank With Nor Ilhamuddin winning board 1 and4. Nusa also presented Board 3 in a platter by conceding walkover to Eon Bank even with the presence of 2 of their players who can play board 3 including captain Hairul.Aziz of Eon was beaten by Rizal in Board 2
